128 versets
۞يَوۡمَ تَأۡتِي كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ تُجَٰدِلُ عَن نَّفۡسِهَا وَتُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ
(Rappelle-toi) le jour où chaque âme viendra, plaidant pour elle-même, et chaque âme sera pleinement rétribuée pour ce qu'elle aura œuvré sans qu'ils subissent la moindre injustice
Al-Jalalayn — Al-Jalalayn
Mention the day when every soul will come pleading arguing for itself not concerned for any other soul — this is the Day of Resurrection — and every soul will be repaid the requital of what it has done and they will not be wronged at all.
وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلٗا قَرۡيَةٗ كَانَتۡ ءَامِنَةٗ مُّطۡمَئِنَّةٗ يَأۡتِيهَا رِزۡقُهَا رَغَدٗا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ فَكَفَرَتۡ بِأَنۡعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلۡجُوعِ وَٱلۡخَوۡفِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ
Et Allah propose en parabole une ville: elle était en sécurité, tranquille; sa part de nourriture lui venait de partout en abondance. Puis elle se montra ingrate aux bienfaits d'Allah. Allah lui fit alors goûter la violence de la faim et de la peur [en punition] de ce qu'ils faisaient
Al-Jalalayn — Al-Jalalayn
And God strikes a similitude mathalan is substituted by the following qaryatan a town Mecca — meaning its inhabitants — secure from any raids never becoming agitated and peaceful without anyone ever needing to emigrate from it on account of anxiety or fear its provision coming to it plenteously abundantly from every place. But it rejected God’s graces by denying the Prophet s so God made it taste the garb of hunger and so they suffered seven years of drought and fear as a result of the raiding parties of the Prophet s all because of what they used to do.
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَهُمۡ ظَٰلِمُونَ
En effet, un Messager des leurs est venu à eux, mais ils l'ont traité de menteur. Le châtiment, donc, les saisit parce qu'ils étaient injustes
Al-Jalalayn — Al-Jalalayn
And verily there came to them a messenger from among them Muhammad (s) but they denied him and so the chastisement of hunger and fear seized them while they were evildoers.
فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلٗا طَيِّبٗا وَٱشۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ إِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُونَ
Mangez donc de ce qu'Allah vous a attribué de licite et de bon. Et soyez reconnaissants pour les bienfaits d'Allah, si c'est Lui que vous adorez
Al-Jalalayn — Al-Jalalayn
So eat O believers of the lawful and good food which God has provided you and be thankful for God’s grace if it is Him that you worship.
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَيۡتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحۡمَ ٱلۡخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيۡرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦۖ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ غَيۡرَ بَاغٖ وَلَا عَادٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
Il vous a, en effet, interdit (la chair) de la bête morte, le sang, la chair de porc, et la bête sur laquelle un autre nom que celui d'Allah a été invoqué. Mais quiconque en mange sous contrainte, et n'est ni rebelle ni transgresseur, alors Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux
Al-Jalalayn — Al-Jalalayn
He has forbidden you only carrion blood the flesh of swine and that which has been hallowed to other than God. Yet whoever is compelled neither craving nor transgressing then truly God is Forgiving Merciful.
