بَيۡضَآءَ لَذَّةٖ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
blanche, savoureuse à boire
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(White, delicious to the drinkers,
لَا فِيهَا غَوۡلٞ وَلَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا يُنزَفُونَ
Elle n'offusquera point leur raison et ne les enivrera pas
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
Wherein) in drinking this wine (there is no headache) stomach-ache, drunkenness, harm or sinning (nor are they made mad thereby) because of intoxication; it is also said that this means: they never run out of it.
وَعِندَهُمۡ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ عِينٞ
Et Ils auront auprès d'eux des belles aux grands yeux, au regard chaste
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And with them) in Paradise (are those of modest gaze) wives who lower their gaze, content with their husbands and wish no man instead of their husband, (with lovely eyes) and beautiful faces,
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيۡضٞ مَّكۡنُونٞ
semblables au blanc bien préservé de l'œuf
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(As they were hidden eggs) in their purity, in both heat and cold.
فَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Puis les uns se tourneront vers les autres s'interrogeant mutuellement
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning) conversing with one another.
