121S07V121

قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Ils dirent: «Nous croyons au Seigneur de l'Univers

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(Crying: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds) Pharaoh said: are you referring to me?

122S07V122

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

au Seigneur de Moïse et d'Aaron.»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

They said: (The Lord of Moses and Aaron).

123S07V123

قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَمَكۡرٞ مَّكَرۡتُمُوهُ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لِتُخۡرِجُواْ مِنۡهَآ أَهۡلَهَاۖ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

«Y avez-vous cru avant que je ne vous (le) permette? dit Pharaon. C'est bien un stratagème que vous avez manigancé dans la ville, afin d'en faire partir ses habitants. Vous saurez bientôt

(Pharaoh said: You believe in Him) you believed in the Lord of Moses and Aaron (before I give you leave) before I command you to do so! (Lo! this is the plot that ye have plotted in the city) between you and Moses (that ye may drive its people hence) by means of guile. (But ye shall come to know!)

124S07V124

لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٖ ثُمَّ لَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Je vais vous couper la main et la jambe opposées, et puis, je vous crucifierai tous.»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(Surely I shall have your hands and feet cut off upon alternate sides) the right hand with the left leg. (Then I shall crucify you every one) on the river bank.

125S07V125

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ

Ils dirent: «En vérité, c'est vers notre Seigneur que nous retournerons

(They) i.e. the wizards (said: Lo! We are about to return unto our Lord!)
