وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
l'Enfer sera pleinement visible à celui qui regardera
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth) to him who is ordained to enter it,
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
Quant à celui qui aura dépassé les limites
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Then, as for him who rebelled) him who was too arrogant and proud and disbelieved in Allah, i.e. al-Nadr Ibn al-Harith Ibn 'Alqamah
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
et aura préféré la vie présente
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And chose the life of the world) rather than the Hereafter and also chose disbelief rather than faith,
فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
alors, l'Enfer sera son refuge
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Lo! Hell will be his home) the Fire is the home of him who is thus.
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ
Et pour celui qui aura redouté de comparaître devant son Seigneur, et préservé son âme de la passion
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(But as for him who feared) upon committing a sin (to stand before his Lord) his standing before his Lord and abstains from engaging in sin (and restrained his soul from lust) from that which is unlawful, even though he desires it, this refers to Mus'ab Ibn 'Umayr.
