64 versets
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرۡمُونَ أَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمۡ فَشَهَٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمۡ أَرۡبَعُ شَهَٰدَٰتِۭ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Et quant à ceux qui lancent des accusations contre leurs propres épouses, sans avoir d'autres témoins qu'eux-mêmes, le témoignage de l'un d'eux doit être une quadruple attestation par Allah qu'il est du nombre des véridiques

(As for those who accuse their wives) of committing adultery (but have no witnesses) for their accusation (except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing) by Allah) other than Whom there is no god (that he is of those who speak the Truth) about his accusation of his wife;
وَٱلۡخَٰمِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعۡنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
et la cinquième [attestation] est «que la malédiction d'Allah tombe sur lui s'il est du nombre des menteurs»
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And yet a fifth, invoking the curse of Allah on him) and on the fifth the man should invoke Allah's curse on himself (if he is of those who lie) about his wife having committed adultery.
وَيَدۡرَؤُاْ عَنۡهَا ٱلۡعَذَابَ أَن تَشۡهَدَ أَرۡبَعَ شَهَٰدَٰتِۭ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
Et on ne lui infligera pas le châtiment [de la lapidation] si elle atteste quatre fois par Allah qu'il [son mari] est certainement du nombre des menteurs
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And it shall avert) the judge will abstain from applying (the punishment from her) the punishment of stoning on the accused wife (if she bear witness before Allah four times) if the woman swears four times by Allah with Whom there is no other god (that the thing he) her husband (saith is indeed false) is untrue,
وَٱلۡخَٰمِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهَآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
et la cinquième [attestation] est que la colère d'Allah soit sur elle, s'il était du nombre des véridiques

(And a fifth (time) that the wrath of Allah be upon her) upon the wife (if he) her husband (speaketh truth) is true about what he says about her.
وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ
Et, n'étaient la grâce d'Allah sur vous et Sa miséricorde...! Allah est Grand Accueillant au repentir et Sage
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you) He would reveal who was lying of the two, (and that Allah is Clement) Allah forgives whoever repents, (Wise, (ye had been undone)) He decreed that this swearing and cursing takes place between the husband and his wife whom he accuses of adultery. This verse was revealed about 'Asim Ibn 'Adiyy al-Ansari who was afflicted with this.
