51S15V51

وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

Et informe-les au sujet des hôtes d'Abraham

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(And tell them of Abraham's guests) the Archangel Gabriel and the twelve angels who accompanied him.

52S15V52

إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ

Quand ils entrèrent chez lui et dirent: «Salâm» - Il dit: «Nous avons peur de vous»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

((How) when they came in unto him) unto Abraham, (and said: Peace) they greeted him. (He said) Abraham said to them when they did not touch his food: (Lo! we are afraid of you) we are scared of you.

53S15V53

قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ

Ils dirent: «N'aie pas peur! Nous t'annonçons une bonne nouvelle, [la naissance] d'un garçon plein de savoir»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(They said: Be not afraid!) do not be scared of us, O Abraham! (Lo! we bring you good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom) in his tender years, clement in his old age.

54S15V54

قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ

Il dit: «M'annoncez-vous [cette nouvelle] alors que la vieillesse m'a touché? Que m'annoncez-vous donc?»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can you bring good tidings?) now.

55S15V55

قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ

Ils dirent: «Nous t'annonçons la vérité. Ne sois donc pas de ceux qui désespèrent»

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth) that you will have a son. (So be not thou of the despairing) in relation to having a son.
