قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوۡلَىٰنَاۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
Dis: «Rien ne nous atteindra, en dehors de ce qu'Allah a prescrit pour nous. Il est notre Protecteur. C'est en Allah que les croyants doivent mettre leur confiance»
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Say) O Muhammad, to the hypocrites: (Naught befalleth us save that which Allah hath decreed for us. He is our protecting Friend) He has better right to protect us. (In Allah let believers put their trust!) the believers ought to put their trust in Allah.
قُلۡ هَلۡ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَآ إِلَّآ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡحُسۡنَيَيۡنِۖ وَنَحۡنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمۡ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٖ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوۡ بِأَيۡدِينَاۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوٓاْ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ
Dis: «Qu'attendez-vous pour nous, sinon l'une des deux meilleures choses? Tandis que ce que nous attendons pour vous, c'est qu'Allah vous inflige un châtiment de Sa part ou par nos mains. Attendez donc! Nous attendons aussi, avec vous»
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Say) O Muhammad, to the hypocrites: (Can ye await for us aught save one of two good things) conquest and spoils of war or death and martyrdom? (while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with a doom from Him) to destroy you (or at our hands) with our swords to kill you. (Await then! Lo! we are awaiting with you) for your destruction.
قُلۡ أَنفِقُواْ طَوۡعًا أَوۡ كَرۡهٗا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمۡ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ
Dis: «Dépensez bon gré, mal gré: jamais cela ne sera accepté de vous, car vous êtes des gens pervers»
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Say) O Muhammad, to the hypocrites: (Pay) your wealth, (willingly) with a good disposition of the soul (or unwillingly) coercively, out of fear from dying, (it will not be accepted from you. Lo! ye were ever froward folk) hypocrites.
وَمَا مَنَعَهُمۡ أَن تُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُمۡ نَفَقَٰتُهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا يَأۡتُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ إِلَّا وَهُمۡ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمۡ كَٰرِهُونَ
Ce qui empêche leurs dons d'être agréés, c'est le fait qu'ils n'ont pas cru en Allah et Son messager, qu'ils ne se rendent à la Salât que paresseusement, et qu'ils ne dépensent (dans les bonnes œuvres) qu'à contrecœur
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(And naught preventeth that their contributions should be accepted from them save that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His messenger) in secret, (and they come not to worship) to the prayer (save as idlers) lax, (and pay not) anything in the way of Allah (save reluctantly) save when they are forced to.
فَلَا تُعۡجِبۡكَ أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُهُمۡۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَتَزۡهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمۡ وَهُمۡ كَٰفِرُونَ
Que leurs biens et leurs enfants ne t'émerveillent point! Allah ne veut par là que les châtier dans la vie présente, et que (les voir) rendre péniblement l'âme en état de mécréance
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(So let not) O Muhammad (their riches) the abundance of their riches (nor their children) the abundance of their children (please thee. Allah thereby intendeth but to punish them) in the Hereafter (and that their souls shall pass away) shall expire (in the life of the world while they are disbelievers).
