لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
qui n'est ni ombreuse ni capable de protéger contre la flamme
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
((Which yet is) no relief) from the heat of the Fire (nor shelter from the flame) of the Fire.
إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
car [le feu] jette des étincelles volumineuses comme des châteaux
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Lo! It) i.e. the Fire (throweth up sparks like the castles) like the bases of huge trees,
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ
et qu'on prendrait pour des chameaux jaunes
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
((Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue) black camels.
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Malheur, ce jour-là, à ceux qui criaient au mensonge
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(Woe) severe punishment (unto the repudiators) of faith and the resurrection (on that day) the Day of Judgement!
هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
Ce sera le jour où ils ne [peuvent] pas parler
Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs — Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
(This is a day wherein they speak not) in some places and speak in others,
