91S27V91

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِي حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَيۡءٖۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

«Il m'a été seulement commandé d'adorer le Seigneur de cette Ville (la Mecque) qu'Il a sanctifiée, - et à Lui toute chose - et il m'a été commandé d'être du nombre des Musulmans

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘AbbâsTanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

(Say) O Muhammad: (I am commanded only to serve) to confess the divine Oneness of (the Lord of this land) i.e. Mecca (which He hath hallowed) which He made Sacred, (and unto Whom all things) among created beings (belong. And I am commanded to be of those who surrender (unto Him)) with the Muslims in their religion,

92S27V92

وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَاْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ

et de réciter le Coran». Quiconque se guide, c'est pour lui-même en effet qu'il se guide. Et quiconque s'égare..., alors dis: «Je ne suis que l'un des avertisseurs»

(And to recite the Qur'an) I am commanded to recite the Qur'an to you. (And whoso goeth right) whoever believes in what is in the Qur'an, (goeth right) believes (only for (the good of) his own soul) the reward of his faith goes to himself; (and as for him who goeth astray) disbelieves in the Qur'an ((Unto him) say) O Muhammad: (Lo! I am only a warner) I only warn you against the Fire by means of the Qur'an.

93S27V93

وَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ

Dis: «Louange à Allah! Il vous fera voir Ses preuves, et vous les reconnaîtrez». Ton Seigneur n'est pas inattentif à ce que vous faites

Allah then commanded him to fight, saying: (And say) O Muhammad: (Praise be to Allah) gratitude and divine Oneness are Allah's (who will show you His portents) the signs of His divine Oneness and power by inflicting torment upon you on the Day of Badr (so that ye shall know them) so that you shall know that what Muhammad (pbuh) tells you is true. (And your Lord is not unaware) oblivious (of what ye do) in your state of disbelief and idolatry. The reference here is to the disbelievers of Quraysh. This can also be considered a threat from Allah to them because of their disbelief and idolatry; it is also said that this means: Allah will not forgo the torment you deserve for your acts of plotting, treachery and corruption'.
