إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِيَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةٖ وَأَجۡرٖ كَرِيمٍ
Tu avertis seulement celui qui suit le Rappel (le Coran), et craint le Tout Miséricordieux, malgré qu'il ne Le voit pas. Annonce-lui un pardon et une récompense généreuse

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَكۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُواْ وَءَاثَٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ فِيٓ إِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
C'est Nous qui ressuscitons les morts et écrivons ce qu'ils ont fait [pour l'au-delà] ainsi que leurs traces. Et Nous avons dénombré toute chose dans un registre explicite

(Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before them, and their footprints�) [36:12]. Abu Sa�id al-Khudri said: �The Banu Salamah were settled at one extremity of Medina and wanted to move closer to the mosque [of the Prophet]. This verse was then revealed (Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before them, and their footprints�), and so the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, said to them: �Your footprints are recorded, why then do you want to move?� � The prophetic descendent Isma�il ibn al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan Tabari informed us> his grandfather> �Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sharqi> �Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr> �Abd al-Razzaq> al-Thawri> Sa�id ibn Turayf> Abu Nadrah> Abu Sa�id who said: �The Banu Salamah complained to the Messenger, Allah bless him and give him peace, about the remoteness of their homes from the mosque. Allah, exalted is He, then revealed (We record that which they send before them�) upon which the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, said: �Do not move from your homes. Your footprints are recorded for you in your favour� �.
وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ إِذۡ جَآءَهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
Donne-leur comme exemple les habitants de la cité, quand lui vinrent les envoyés

إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِمُ ٱثۡنَيۡنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثٖ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ إِلَيۡكُم مُّرۡسَلُونَ
Quand Nous leur envoyâmes deux [envoyés] et qu'ils les traitèrent de menteurs. Nous [les] renforçâmes alors par un troisième et ils dirent: «Vraiment, nous sommes envoyés à vous»

قَالُواْ مَآ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا تَكۡذِبُونَ
Mais ils [les gens] dirent: «Vous n'êtes que des hommes comme nous. Le Tout Miséricordieux n'a rien fait descendre et vous ne faites que mentir»
