It was narrated from Ibn Hunain, that 'Ali said that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ حُنَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ ثِيَابِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ وَعَنِ الْحَرِيرِ وَأَنْ يَقْرَأَ وَهُوَ رَاكِعٌ وَعَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ .
The Messenger of Allah forbade garments dyed with safflower, and from silk, and reciting Qur'an while he is bowing, and from gold rings.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّضْرَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ .
The Prophet forbade gold rings.
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ تَخَتُّمِ الذَّهَبِ .
The Messenger of Allah forbade gold rings.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَاتَمَ الذَّهَبِ فَلَبِسَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ الذَّهَبِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ وَإِنِّي لَنْ أَلْبَسَهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَهُ فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'I used to wear this ring, but I will never wear it again.' Then he threw it away, and the people threw their rings away."
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .
"The inscription on the ring of the Messenger of Allah was: Muhammad Rasul Allah (Muhammad the Messenger of Allah).'"
It was narrated from Anas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَفَصُّهُ حَبَشِيٌّ وَنَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .
The Prophet put on a silver ring with and Ethiopian stone (Fass), on which the inscription was: "Muhammad Rasul Allah."
It was narrated that Anas said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَكْتُبَ إِلَى الرُّومِ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهُمْ لاَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابًا إِلاَّ مَخْتُومًا . فَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِهِ فِي يَدِهِ وَنُقِشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .
"The Messenger of Allah wanted to write to the Romans, and they (the Companions) said: 'They do not read any letter unless it has a seal.' So he took a ring of silver and it is as if I can see its whiteness on his hand, and engraved on it (were the words): 'Muhammad Rasul Allah.'"
It was narrated from Anas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iأَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَفَصُّهُ حَبَشِيٌّ .
The Messenger of Allah put on a ring of silver with an Ethiopian stone (Fass).
It was narrated that Anas said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ كَانَ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَفَصُّهُ مِنْهُ .
"The ring of the Prophet was of silver, and its stone (Fass) was made of silver too."
It was narrated that Anas said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا عَلَيْهِ نَقْشًا فَلاَ يَنْقُشْ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ " .
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'We have had a ring made with an inscription, and no one else should copy this inscription.'"
It was narrated from Anas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ " إِنَّا قَدِ اتَّخَذْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا عَلَيْهِ نَقْشًا فَلاَ يَنْقُشْ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ " . وَإِنِّي لأَرَى بَرِيقَهُ فِي خِنْصَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

It was narrated from Anas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ .
The Prophet used to wear his ring on his right hand.
It was narrated that Anas said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي إِصْبَعِهِ الْيُسْرَى .
"It is as if I can see the whiteness of the Prophet's ring on his left finger."
Thabit narrated that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، أَنَّهُمْ سَأَلُوا أَنَسًا عَنْ خَاتَمِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ . وَرَفَعَ إِصْبَعَهُ الْيُسْرَى الْخِنْصَرَ .
They asked Anas about the ring of the Messenger of Allah and he said: "It is as if I can see the shining of his silver ring, and he raised his left little finger."
It was narrated that Abu Burdah said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ نَهَانِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْخَاتَمِ فِي السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى .
"I heard 'Ali say: 'The Prophet of Allah forbade me to wear a ring on the forefinger and middle finger.'"
It was narrated that 'Ali said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ أَلْبَسَ فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ وَفِي الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا .
"The Messenger of Allah forbade me to wear (a ring) on this finger," and it was on the middle finger and the one next to it.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَخَتَّمُ بِخَاتَمٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ثُمَّ طَرَحَهُ وَلَبِسَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَنُقِشَ عَلَيْهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَنْقُشَ عَلَى نَقْشِ خَاتَمِي هَذَا " . وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَطْنِ كَفِّهِ .
"The Prophet wore a ring of gold, then he discarded it and wore a ring of silver on which were engraved (the words) 'Muhammad Rasul Allah.' Then he said: 'No one should copy this inscription of mine.' And he wore the stone (Fass) toward his palm."
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا فَلَبِسَهُ قَالَ " شَغَلَنِي هَذَا عَنْكُمْ مُنْذُ الْيَوْمِ إِلَيْهِ نَظْرَةٌ وَإِلَيْكُمْ نَظْرَةٌ " . ثُمَّ أَلْقَاهُ .
The Messenger of Allah took a ring and put it on, then he said: "This distracted me from you all day, shifting my gaze from it to you (and back again)." Then he threw it away.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iقَالَ " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ وَأَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ " . فَرَمَى بِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .
The Messenger of Allah had a ring made of gold and he used to wear it with the stone (Fass) against his palm, and the people did likewise. Then he sat on the Minbar and said: "I used to wear this ring and put its stone (Fass) on the inside." Then he threw it away and said: "By Allah, I will never wear it again." And the people threw their rings away.
It was narrated from Anas that
dansSunan al-Nasa'iأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قِرَاءَةً عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا فَصَنَعُوهُ فَلَبِسُوهُ فَطَرَحَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ .
He saw a ring of silver on the hand of the Messenger of Allah threw his ring away and the people threw their rings away too.
